Founded in 1909 and affiliated with the Episcopal Church, The Bishop’s School is an independent, all gender college-preparatory school for 800 students in grades six through twelve. The Bishop's School seeks an Athletics Events and Game Operations Coordinator with immediate start.
The Athletics Events and Game Operations Coordinator is responsible for leading all aspects of athletic event operations and fan experience at the middle school and high school levels. This role oversees game day execution, including announcing, scoreboard management, public address systems, and pregame production, while ensuring a positive, engaging environment for student-athletes, families, and spectators at Bishop’s and other venues as needed. The position manages event logistics such as ticketing, entry management, security coordination, score reporting, and supports program visibility through website oversight and media asset organization. In partnership with students, this role also helps design and elevate fan engagement initiatives, including senior game recognition and themed events, bringing energy, organization, and creativity to the overall athletics experience.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple events, priorities, and stakeholders. The candidate should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, communicating with students, families, colleagues, and vendors, and supporting a safe, positive, and well-organized athletics environment.
This is a 12-month per year role and requires a flexible schedule with consistent evening and weekend hours to support athletic contests and events throughout the year.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee scoreboard operations and in-game video production, including public address
- Plan and coordinate the use and operation of scoreboards and PA systems for athletic events
- Manage athletic event logistics, including ticket sales and entry management
- Lead game day fan experience strategy for all sports programs
- Develop and implement student-body and fan engagement strategies
- Support and be present for major athletics events such as senior games, Hall of Fame and BESPY’s
- Manage athletics records, database, and Hall of Fame media displays
- Organize ticketing operations, entry management, and game day promotions
- Coordinate event security and supervision
- Ensure accurate and timely score reporting across media platforms
- Organize and maintain athletics media visual assets
- Provide game supervision and maintain a safe and orderly environment through effective supervision of students and guests at athletic events
- Serve as a game announcer
- Collaborate with marketing, events, security, facilities, and Play by Play teams to support the coordination and execution of athletic events
- Perform, with a team approach, other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least three years of experience in athletic program operations preferred
- Digital media and video editing experience
- Website content management experience
- Strong ability and commitment to adhere to regulations and standards
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate
- Intermediate proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, and a willingness to become proficient in new programs, learning management systems, collaboration systems, and productivity apps as needed
- Ability to meet the special needs and requirements associated with scholastic athletics calendar and schedule, which may require fluctuations in workdays and hours

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $62,000 to $67,000 annually, based on experience.
